The long-term HerWILL and AI4OPT collaboration supports our mission to be more diverse and inclusive, with a specific emphasis on empowering and advancing women in AI and STEM. Our combined resources and expertise including mentorship, leadership training, networking events, and technical workshops, offer a range of programs and opportunities to support women pursuing careers in both tech fields.
As part of this collaboration, South Big Data Hub and members of the AI4OPT team assisted HerWILL in organizing its 2022 Datathon by providing a dataset that predicted taxi requests in New York City over time and space and by serving as a member of the jury for the competition.
Ahead, the partnership will extend beyond datathons, utilizing the SBC and the FTP initiatives to develop new programs at HerWILL that will ultimately address the workforce development challenges of today.
