Haoruo Zhao to Begin New Role at DoorDash

Haoruo Zhao’s research centered on optimization methods for power systems and the formal verification of neural networks. Her work enhances the safety and efficiency of AI-enabled infrastructure and energy systems. Starting in June, Zhao will bring her skills to DoorDash as an operations research scientist, contributing to the company's efforts to optimize logistics and delivery networks.

Hanyu Zhang Joins Amazon SCOT Forecasting Team

Hanyu Zhang completed her doctoral research in the development of advanced time series forecasting models, with a focus on managing uncertainty and complexity in sequential data. Her work contributes to more accurate and scalable forecasting, an essential tool for supply chain optimization. Zhang joined Amazon as part of the Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) Forecasting Team, where she will continue refining and deploying forecasting models on a global scale.
Hongzhao Guan Continues Research with AI4OPT

Hongzhao Guan, who officially completed his Ph.D. in 2024, is continuing his research with AI4OPT. His work explores the intersection of transportation systems and computational social science, contributing to innovative solutions for real-world mobility and behavioral modeling challenges.
