Georgia congressional delegation staffers attended a cybersecurity presentation at Klaus, which featured presentations from AI4OPT Ph.D. students from Georgia Tech, Mohannad Alkhraijah and Rachel Harris, along with their advisor, Daniel Molzahn, who is an assistant professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech and serves as the Co-Lead of the AI4OPT Energy Thrust team. They discussed their research from AI4OPT, focusing on the cybersecurity of distributed optimization algorithms and presented a case study involving a Ukrainian power grid to demonstrate vulnerability analysis for identifying critical components.
The event was held this month by Saman Zonouz, an Associate Professor with dual appointments in Georgia Tech's School of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and Cybersecurity and Privacy (SCP) programs.
