HackGwinnett 5.0 brought together 170 students from 24 schools across Gwinnett, Fulton, and Forsyth counties for a full day of coding, collaboration, and innovation at The Gwinnett School of Mathematics, Science, and Technology.

Workshops and Student Projects
The event featured workshops in data science, JavaFX, cybersecurity, and quantum computing, highlighting the growing interest in emerging technologies among high school students. Participants worked in teams to design and present creative technology solutions, demonstrating advanced technical and problem-solving skills.

Industry and Academic Involvement
Guest speaker Michael Butros, representing AI4OPT shared insights on artificial intelligence and its role in addressing real-world optimization challenges. The event also featured contributions from Parv Mahajan of Georgia Tech’s AI Safety Initiative and received support from State Farm, Ed Campbell, and a team of dedicated volunteers.

As a fully student-led hackathon, HackGwinnett 5.0 showcased the passion and ingenuity of the next generation of innovators, concluding with recognition for the participants and winners whose work exemplified creativity and collaboration.
