The U. S. National Science Foundation AI Institute for Advances in Optimization (AI4OPT) and Tech AI partnered with consultancy firm THG Advisor to host a showcase spotlighting how artificial intelligence is transforming industries from healthcare to energy and manufacturing.

The event brought together 40 executives from THG Advisor’s national network to explore the practical applications of AI and optimization research emerging from Georgia Tech. Attendees engaged directly with AI4OPT researchers and students, gaining insight into how academic innovations are being translated into real-world impact.

The afternoon program opened with remarks from THG Advisor President and COO Walt Carter, followed by AI4OPT Director Pascal Van Hentenryck, who outlined the institute’s mission to develop AI systems that enhance decision-making and operations across industries.
